Pastor Robert T. Joseph received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal saviour on Sept. 21, 1975 at the age of 31.   After receiving Christ, he became a faithful member at Open Door Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Va. during which time he surrendered to the call to preach. 

In 1983 Pastor Joseph relocated to Pensacola Fl. to attend the Pensacola Bible Institute (PBI), studying under Dr. Peter S. Ruckman. In 1986, Pastor Joseph received his Bachelor of Divinity from PBI. 

Pastor Joseph then returned to the Virginia area and pastored Flat Run Baptist Church, from 1986 to 1988.  From 1988 to 1991 Pastor Joseph worked as the Associate Pastor for Blessed Hope Baptist Church located in Bryans Road Md.  Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit he started Anchor Baptist Church now located in LaPlata Md. area.
